Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize warehouse and distribution operations, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of warehouse and distribution professionals, providing direction, support, and development opportunities to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Process Improvement: Implement Lean Sigma or equivalent methodologies to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity throughout the warehouse and distribution network.
  • Virtual Leadership: Effectively manage remote teams across multiple locations, leveraging technology and communication tools to facilitate collaboration, alignment, and accountability.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize warehouse and distribution processes.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to ensure efficient utilization and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency in warehouse and distribution activities.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate safety hazards, security threats, and operational disruptions within the warehouse and distribution environment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service teams, to align operations with business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback, implementing best practices, and driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Preffered Experience Highlights :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field; advanced degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in warehouse and distribution management, preferably in a process-driven environment within the Shipping and Logistics Industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multiple warehouses and managing virtual teams across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Certification in Lean Sigma, Six Sigma, Prince, or equivalent methodologies for process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical background with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software.
  • Candidates with familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and other relevant technologies to optimize operations and enhance visibility will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
